Hunting this property has been a game-changer. I’m Anthony Caruso, and I’ve had the privilege of spending time out here in Thurston County. The mix of forest and wetlands creates a natural corridor for deer, and I’ve seen them move steadily between the timber and the open spaces near the pond. It’s also a bonus having the WDFW-managed Violet Prairie next door, as the wildlife flow between the two properties is constant—especially with that elk herd passing through. The on-site camping made it easy to extend my stays, but I’d recommend leaving the RV at home if you’re coming in winter. All in all, this land offers everything you could ask for in a hunt—peaceful solitude, diverse terrain, and consistent opportunities to fill your tag.
