Chrises Creek Cooperative Wildlife Managment Unit (CWMU) is south of Lavan, Utah about eleven (11) km. The Higher elevation on the unit are in the east, about 8200 feet; and decrease to the west with the unit ending at 5200 feet. Chrises Creek in Chrises Canyon is the major drainage on the CWMU running east to west, from 8000 to 5600 feet. The elevation on Chrises Creek CWMU ranges between 5600 and 8200 feet, a difference of 2600 feet. The most common elevation is 7500 feet. On the Chriss Creek Cooperative Wildlife Management Unit (CWMU) forty-eight percent (48%) of the land is covered by Rocky Mountain Gambel Oak-Mixed Montane Shrubland (41) and thirty-one percent (31%) is covered by Colorado Plateau Pinyon-Juniper Woodland (36). Rocky Mountain Aspen Forest and Woodland (22) and Rocky Mountain Montane Dry-Mesic Mixed Conifer Forest and Woodland (30) cover about twelve percent (12%) of the unit.
