The Scofield Canyon Cooperative Wildlife Management Unit (CWMU) is located northeast of Scofield Reservoir. The southwest boundary is Scofield Lake State Recreation Area. Also, in the middle Rocky Mountain Montane Mesic Mixed Conifer Forest and Woodland (32) and Inter-Mountain West Aspen-Mixed Conifer Forest and Woodland Complex (38) add to the forest and woodland character.
