This rustic, remote 968-acre park is in the heart of Moshannon State Forest and is almost entirely wooded offering picturesque areas of swamp
meadows, pine plantations and mixed hardwoods. Call or go online for camping reservations. Modern sites, cabins and organized group tenting is
available. The park is the western trailhead of the Quehanna Trail System. Through a series of loops and connecting trails, this system offers
over 73 miles of hiking opportunities. This trail connects with the Susquehannock Trail System. A trailhead at the park offers access to several
mountain biking trails in Moshannon State Forest. Winter activities include sledding and snowmobiling on the extensive trail system on the adjacent
state forest land. About 526-acres of the park are open to hunting and trapping. Common game species are deer, turkey, grouse, bear, rabbit and
squirrel.
