156 acres in Russellville for lease
Yearly Lease
Listing Id #: 53804
156 acres
4 - 6 Hunters
Currently Leased Next Available: 1
We have a 156 Acre plot of land currently ready for a small group or family to lease. The property has 40 acres topside of pasture land with hardwood stands running through the remainder of the property. It was clear cut ten years ago with natural re-growth. One stream, a full rushing creek, and a pond provide water to the entire area. There's currently 5 active green fields but you would be welcome to plant more.
A road runs the entire length of the property and provides easy access to all of it from ATV or UTV. This road will be continually developed over the next few years for vehicle traffic but there is no current option for anything but major 4x4. Surrounding land is predominately managed logging land with clearly defined boundaries.
Owners occupy on site residence and will maintain a non firing permitter around their home. Some of the pasture land will be used for cattle and rotational grazing but is still open for hunting provided it is safe to do so. During the hunting season cattle will be moved to the smallest area possible.
Hunters will be allowed to establish a base camp for continued use provided it is understood and agreed in writing that owners and their agents are not liable for any damages. Currently there is, however, no known issue of trespassers.
The pond is too close to the house to provide regular hunting though safe use could be agreed upon on a case by case basis. However, it is currently being stocked with fish and fishing rights will come with the hunting lease at no additional cost in the future.
We ask first that you be respectful of the land, the wildlife and the owners. We intend to find a long term relationship with a small group of ethical hunters. All Alabama fish and game laws will be abided or the lease will immediately terminate.
We will maintain the right to hunt the land however we are not trophy hunters and will likely only take one or two does per year and a few turkey.
If this is the kind of agreement you have been looking for please send us an email and we would love to discuss with you further. Again we are looking for respectful and ethical hunters that will care for the property as well as enjoy it. After speaking with several leasing agents in the area this lease is valued at $3000 annually for a sustained group of hunters 3-5 people.
