The habitat goes from creeks and waterway that are all grown over to Pastures forcing the deer to travel on funneled down corridors throughout the property. A road that separates some of the property allows you so start fresh in a completely new area where the deer and you have never met before for a new lease on life like a new opening day. The season runs from about the 25th of November to about December 8th every year depending on where the Saturdays fall. If you are a horns and meat hunter the landowner will even allow you to shoot a doe on his depredation tag after you have a buck license in your pocket (Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation “ODWC). In addition, he will show you the farm, where the deer usually day bed, eat and drink so you have some intel for your hunt. He will also show you the property boundary fences so you know which side of the fence to stay on to not have any neighbor complaints.
