Our ranch consists of roughly 4000 deeded acres easily accessible with good roads. Opening week of rifle usually consists of both good elk and deer hunting. The elk in the photos were all taken off of our irrigated alfalfa pivots. The ranch is split evenly between irrigated grass and alfalfa on the valley floor along Alder Creek and mountain sagebrush pasture above Virginia City. We also border a public state land section with excellent elk hunting and several BLM land sections with elk, mule deer, and whitetail populations. In addition, there are excellent antelope hunting opportunities with a private antelope herd usually numbering 350+ head. These are not accustomed to any hunting pressure and are easily taken with a bow. We allow motorized retrieval of any taken game.
The lower portion of the ranch also winters a large number of geese and ducks in the hay meadows and along the ponds and creek. Hunting rights have been leased out the past two years and hunting has always been controlled. We are open to offers from outfitters or someone looking for their own private lease. This property is ideal for a family or group of hunters looking for an exclusive hunting private hunting lease that is adjacent to thousands of acres of BLM and forest service known for deer and elk hunting. Gopher and coyote hunting as well as fishing are included as a bonus!
