This property is heavily forested, but a mulcher has been used to open it up. The are two creeks traversing the property with running water. One of the creeks is named (Huckleberry Creek). The landowner maintains a gravity feeder on the property with corn. Deer are observed each night approaching the feeder, which is located within ten feet of the creek. The area provides ample cover for the deer, while also offering numerous open spaces that facilitate shooting lanes. Using a tree stand or pop-up blind will produce. Deer tracks surround the feeder and creek. There is a distinct deer trail leading from the feeder to across the roadway. Paralleling the property is an Electrical Power Easement that stretched for miles. The area is quiet with no nearby homes or campsites. The back of the property is ideal for setting up a popup blind to hunt wild hogs. Caught a small group (10-hogs) transiting across the back of the property. No sign that the hogs are rooting around the area of the deer feeder. This property is easy to get to with a hard packed gravel road in front of the property. Convenience Store w/gas is back in Pineland. Sam Rayburn Reservoir is just 2.25 miles away.
