About This Lease
The acreage listed refers to classified timber. I own a total of 400 acres of agricultural land, ditches and fence rows surrounding the timber, which can be accessed for retrieving game. These deer woods are considered some of the best in the county! The last buck harvested here was a giant 12-pointer, and with shed antlers scattered everywhere—so many you could practically trip over them—you can bet there are plenty more big bucks around. I continually plant food plots and place mineral sites along the timber edges, and I can also help in guiding hunts if desired. I also offer two different camping spots, one of which includes power and a fire pit. These are included in the lease. Additionally, there are large numbers of bobwhite quail on this property. Message for more details on quail hunt pricing. *There are also hundreds of acres surrounding these hunting grounds that may be available for sale with the right offer.

All I can say is—wow! This place is basically the perfect deer woods. It’s a long, narrow stretch of timber running parallel along a slope, connecting two larger sections of hardwoods and surrounded by ag fields. Deer are using it as a natural travel corridor, but the real game-changer is the deep drainage cuts that funnel them to either the top or bottom of the slope—ensuring close-range shots during archery season. These drainages spill out into the fields as ditches lined with tall grass, adding even more bedding cover to an already dense woods filled with prime bedding pockets. That said, there are also some more open areas of mature hardwoods providing an excellent food source for the deer. A true testament to the property’s diverse habitat is the abundance of quail. I’ve never seen a quail in Indiana before, but this place is absolutely loaded with them! During my property walk, we even found some deer great sheds, and if I had more time, I’m sure I could have picked up plenty more!
