106 acres of privately owned land located in Zone 1 Anderson County KY, on the Bourbon Trail. Harvest a dandy in the morning, tour the distilleries in the afternoon, and tell lies over the campfire all evening!
The property is mostly wooded with several clearings in prime locations. If you're looking for a 200 yard shot over a beanfield, this place may not be for you. It's a bow hunters dream property that rifle hunters will really enjoy as well. It features great big ole bucks and gentle rolling hills with well-groomed ATV trails that allow easy access to the seven ladder stand locations. In case it rains, there's an elevated platform for your pop up blind close to camp and in a prime location, but feel free to use your blind or climber anywhere on the property. These are not guided hunts.
This property is maintained and managed through low pressure and selective harvesting for big bucks and fat turkeys. The surrounding area enjoys low pressure as well and is managed for deer. Feeders are maintained for seven months a year.
This is the stuff grandpa's deer camp dreams are made of - OFF GRID, primitive lodging is provided and includes one bunk bed, one full size bed, one twin bed, and a pull-out futon bed. There is a wood stove for heat, and firewood is provided, but I recommend bringing a supplemental heater if you will be staying during colder months. This is a converted milking parlor in an old barn with little insulation, no water, no electricity, and a portable raised toilet with removable bucket. Use your portable shower or drive three minutes away to a local truck stop. You're also just 5 minutes from town where there are several restaurants and stores (Yes, there's a Walmart so you can stock up on Little Debbies).
If you drive a Prius, this may not be for you! It can get muddy and 4x4 may be needed to access camp. ATV use is permitted for harvest retrieval.
Price is PER HUNTER. Discounts negotiable for youth and combat wounded veterans. The number of days is negotiable.
