This area of Kentucky is known for exceptional genetics, and high deer density. This particular tract shares easements with Texas Gas, which operates gas storage sites throughout the property. While these sites slightly reduce the total huntable land, they also provide a road system for simple access throughout the property, and also habituate the resident deer herd to non-threatening vehicle and human activity. This makes ATVs and e-bikes a practical way to quickly get to an area to hunt, with minimal effect on deer activity. These road systems, power lines, and gas line cuts also create an ample amount of edge habitat. We mow these cuts periodically throughout the year, and are converting them all to native prairies.
There is a cabin located at the northeast corner of the property that is available to rent. The road system wraps all the way around providing access for any wind, and there is actually a small section of woods to the north of the cabin which can be a quick quiet and sneaky hunt for those noreaster fronts.
We have a variety of raised box blinds, pop up blinds, and ladder stands setup throughout the property. Many of these kill plots are accompanied by corn feeders, as well as the food plots and native prairies we are establishing throughout the property. These stand sites provide consistent opportunities to fill the freezer, or put your kids on their first deer, while always having a chance at the big ones that frequent these fields!
For the avid DIY bow hunters, there is also excellent cover and timber to setup in your own ambush sites. We are happy to help facilitate whichever type of hunting experience you are looking for.
Limited to bow hunting leases only, minimal single owner pressure, 3 hunters max per lease, and the phenomenal genetics Muhlenberg County is known for, this acreage offers real opportunities to tag a book buck!
