Driving DirectionsFrom Sedalia, take Highway 65 south 10 miles, then Highway 52 west 1 mile, and Hoffman Road south 0.50 mile. The area is on the east side of Hoffman Road. HighlightsThis area was an active row-crop and cattle grazing farm prior to the acquisition by the Conservation Department. With the existing native prairie and past history of prairie chicken use, this area was determined to be of great value in the effort to restore prairie chickens and other grassland species back into this landscape. The heavily grazed cool-season pastures also show promise of restoration to prairie remnant habitat. Future management will be directed to enhance those portions of the area.
