Yellow Creek State Park provides easy walking trails for visitors of all ages. Boats with motors up to 20 horsepower are permitted. Four boat launching ramps available.
A boat rental concession in the Beach/Day Use area offers motorboats, canoes, rowboats, paddleboats, pontoon boats and small sailboats. A guarded beach open from Memorial
Day weekend to Labor Day, unless posted otherwise. The lake is well stocked with most warm water game fish and panfish. Laurel Run, Yellow Creek and Little Yellow Creek are
stocked with brown and brook trout. Yellow Creek offers a number of hiking trails. Sunfish, perch and pike are caught most frequently through the ice at Yellow Creek. An area is
maintained for sledding and tobogganing. Registered snowmobiles are allowed in one area. The lake has ice skating. Ice boating is permitted on the lake provided the boat displays a
State Park launch permit. The park contains abandoned roads and trails suitable for cross-country skier/snowshoer.
