Hunt some of Eastern WA’s most desirable Elk and Deer population on a working dog and firearms training ranch. The property has an 8-acre cherry orchard full of grass that draws the wildlife daily and their schedule is very predictable. This property has additional access to 101,000-acres of the Colockum Wildlife Area that covers an expanse of territory from sub-alpine and mixed forest at higher elevations to pine foothills, shrub-steppe ridge country and prairie bunchgrass closer to the Columbia River shore. The types of animals in this area are mule deer, coyote, cougar, bear, and Rocky Mountain Elk, as well as a variety of birds including wild turkey, quail, chukar, grouse and more. Located just minutes away from Wenatchee and less than an hour drive away from Chelan and Leavenworth, there are plenty of options for hunting licensing stores, the best firearms stores, camping and sporting goods stores, hotels, restaurants, wineries, and local activities. The landowner can also set up catering from a local restaurant for your hunting camp if you need options for a full service camp. Some unique amenities available to the hunter are portable hunting blinds (2x4 man, 1 x 2 man). Parking for 2, 30 foot camp trailers with provided electrical and water hookup for guests with trailers. There is a small field suitable for several large tents at the top of the driveway. The landowner provides a porta-john with hand-wash station before each hunting group. ATV/E-Bike use is allowed on the property. There is an option to use the 50-yard small arms training range and precision rifle range on the property to zero in your firearms to be sure you have an accurate shot and target practice for an additional charge prior to your hunt. The daily fee is for a group up to six hunters, and there is only one hunting group to hunt the property at a time. Due to the high fire danger and possible winds, there is no smoking or fires on the property unless there is snow on the ground. Propane fire pits are allowed and there is an option for a propane fire pit on site for groups to use. No pets, emotional support dogs, or hunting dogs are allowed on the property due to the property having working dogs on site, however real service dogs are permitted.
