About This AreaHorse Creek Prairie Conservation Area is in Dade County and covers 80 acres.The entire area is remnant prairie, with one brushy draw. Prescribed burning and haying are utilized to maintain the prairie and encourage wildflowers. Occasionally, a few prairie chickens can be seen on the area.Hunting is fairly limited due to the area's small size, but hunters may find a few quail and rabbits.Flower enthusiasts will find a wide array of colors during the summer months.
