HUNTING REGULATIONS
1.Severe weather and safety conditions can result in closing all or part of the area.
2.It will be unlawful to possess or consume alcoholic beverages while hunting in the area.
3.Hunters under 16 years of age must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
AREA REGULATIONS - WATERFOWL
1.All hunters ( reservation hunters and daily draw hunters) using these areas must report to the check station to register before the daily drawing for blinds at 5:00 a.m. Any blinds not claimed will be assigned by draw until 9:00 a.m.
2.All hunting will cease at 1:00 p.m. and all hunters must report to the check station within one (1) hour. At this time ducks bagged will be checked.
3.Based on individual blind location, hunters may have the option to access their assigned blind by foot, bicycle or personal boat. All blinds will be provided with a boat, oars, life jackets and 24 decoys. There is a 10 hp. limit on our boats. There is a 25 hp. limit on the lakes if you use your personal boat.
4.The lake will be closed to boating and boat fishing 10 days prior to the start of waterfowl season.
5.The Springfield permit office will issue duck permit reservations for Banner Marsh. Season dates will be announced to the public as soon as they are set by the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service.
6.All hunting will be from registered blind sites only, up to 4 persons (hunters or non-hunters) may occupy a blind.
7.A current IDNR waterfowl permit must be used.
8.A $10.00 daily usage stamp must be purchased at the site. Permit fees are payable at the public hunting area only. Do not send fee to the permit office.
AREA REGULATIONS - UPLAND AND FOREST WILDLIFE

2.Dove hunting is steel shot only, size 6 or smaller. A drawing will be held 1 hour prior to Sunrise at the site office if there are more hunters than can be accommodated ( for the first 5 days of the dove season).
