The 73-acre Quail Hollow Ecological Reserve is adjacent to Quail Hollow Ranch County Park. Biotic communities in the area include redwood forest, mixed evergreen forest, chaparral, and closed-cone pine forest. Plant species include madrone, coast live oak, ferns, manzanita, and bush poppy.
