Since 2000, Fant's Grove WMA has been under quality deer management. One Youth-only draw deer hunt is held on the property on the first Saturday in October. Applications may be obtained by calling (864) 654-1671, ext. 16, in late July and are due in early September each year. Archery Season for deer is October 15 - December 22. The limit is 3 deer, but not more than one buck and bucks must have at least four points on one side or a 12-inch antler spread. Small game hunting is allowed mainly from mid-December until March 1. Several dove fields are located on Fant's Grove WMA and are open on Saturday afternoons only during dove season.
Drawn Adult-Youth Waterfowl hunts are held on the Clemson Waterfowl Management Area which is planted in annual grains and flooded seasonally to provide feeding areas for waterfowl. Selection for waterfowl hunting at Clemson Waterfowl Area is by computer drawing only; applications for the drawing may be obtained in mid-September. Additional waterfowl hunting opportunities are available on Fant's Grove WMA on Wednesday and Saturday mornings only during the waterfowl season.
