I just finished walking an impressive 150 - acre property in Newberry County, South Carolina, and it was an absolute standout. Beyond having a landowner who genuinely cares about creating the best possible experience for his hunters, the property itself is teeming with a full comp lement of game. Whitetail sign was apparent throughout the walk — from fresh scrapes to both new and generational tree rubs. Well - worn game trails cut through predictable transition lines and natural funnel areas, reinforcing this tract’s consistent use by d eer. I observed a doe bounding just prior to entering the property and identified heavy buck tracks crossing through one of the multiple food plots. The landowner has clearly been intentional with stand placement, aligning locations with prevailing wind pa tterns to give hunters optimal shot opportunities while minimizing disturbance. Turkey sign was also prevalent across the property, and the owner actively encourages the harvest of coyotes and other legal predators that impact deer and turkey populations. This property was truly a pleasure to walk. The level of care, management, and pride invested by the owner is evident at every turn, and it makes this tract a prime opportunity for serious hunters seeking a well - maintained, high - quality hunting experience.
