The 9,480-acre Moultrie Hunt Unit is comprised of Bluefield, Greenfield, Hall, North Dike, Porcher and Sandy Beach Wildlife Management Areas (WMAs). These WMAs are located predominately around the shores of Lakes Marion and Moultrie in Berkeley County and are owned by Santee Cooper. Regular still gun hunting for deer is offered on North Dike and Greenfield, while adult-youth only still gun hunting is offered at Bluefield. On the Hall and Porcher WMAs, archery-only deer hunting is available; however, the Cross Station portion of Hall is closed except for special youth-only draw hunts. Youth-only draw deer hunt applications for the Cross Station and Sandy Beach can be obtained by calling (843) 825-3387 in late August and are due in mid-September each year. Small game hunting is allowed on the Moultrie Hunt Unit during limited periods. Sandy Beach Waterfowl Management Area on Lake Moultrie has a series of impoundments that are planted in annual grains and flooded seasonally to provide feeding areas for waterfowl. Selection for waterfowl hunting at Sandy Beach is by computer drawing only; applications for the drawing may be obtained in mid-September at http://www.dnr.sc.gov/hunting/huntapp.html.
