Independence Ranch is home to many different animals, including Hogs, Elk, Whitetail Deer, Ram, Axis Deer, Red Stag, Black Buck, Ibex, Sika Deer, Fallow Buck, and many more. https://www.independenceranch.com/ This Ranch was part of Mexico in 1830 and that’s when this property was deeded to a family from Missouri. This was part of a larger ranch of 4400 Acres. Mexico was trying to populate the wilderness and they were advertising all over the world, “Free Land in Texas, Come to Texas.” You had people all over the world coming to claim their 4400 Acres. What settlers were not told about was savage Indians and Mexican bandits. For families that came overseas, there was no turning back.
