This 12-acre property stands out for its unique placement within prime deer habitat, consistently hosting multiple mature bucks throughout the year. The landowners experience reflects this, as evidenced by his wifes successful harvest of a mature 10-point buck and his observation of a giant 12-point buck chasing a doe through the cattails. Trail cameras on the property have captured images of numerous other mature bucks, indicating a year long thriving deer population. During scouting, I encountered challenging terrain in the dense swamp but discovered a shed from a deer that likely scored 140 last year, suggesting this deer is still alive on the property and will be even bigger this year. Within this rich habitat, the property offers excellent food sources, including various oak trees and a large, well-maintained food plot that serves as a primary attraction for local deer. Spanning from the cattail marsh to a secluded strip of mature oak trees, the narrow layout of the property presents strategic hunting opportunities.
