What a beautiful piece of land that is up for lease located in Northern Michigan! It didn’t take me very long to notice that this area has everything a Whitetail Deer needs! This parcel is very diverse with many different areas to choose from and a nice trail system that will help the hunter get to and from their spot in any wind direction. Rolling hills in the forest and many open areas can help you find a good spot to setup that new stand or pop up blind. I found many trails the deer are using along with multiple bedding areas and rubs all over this property! My favorite part of the property was on the eastern side of this 40 acres. The woods starts to slowly turn into a low area with a small pond located right on the edge of a farm field that sits on the east side of the property. Anywhere along this field would be a great spot to setup. This crop field had fresh tracks on the edges as well as across the open field. Just to the west of the field there is a tree stand that sits in a nice open area in the woods that is a great spot the deer are using to travel to their food source. Another option is to setup or use an old blind that is on the power line where you can see north and south and will work great for gun season. The main blind was a beautiful green enclosed blind with windows looking in every direction. This blind was placed just west of the farm field with many open areas in the woods making this a great spot to tag that giant Michigan buck!
