This property sets up great for hunters who enjoy open fields or woods. With about half of the land being forest and the other half being crops, there are opportunities to approach your hunt however you like in just about any wind direction. As soon as I entered this property I found an area right off the field edge that these deer are using for bedding areas and not far away a nice group of rubs. As I made my way around the edge there we many areas like this that the deer used to bed down. The woods on the western half of the property will allow hunters to set up tree stands in many different areas as there are plenty of open spots to give you shooting lanes. The field itself had deer tracks all over the place and many spots that they are digging around still eating what they can from the crops left over from last seasons farming season. The woods that border the crop field on the south side had many trials leading into them and it was very clear that the herd in this area loves to use the surrounding woods for cover and stay close to their food source to come out and eat when they feel. With more crop lands in the area, this hunting land will hold deer all season long and provide a great opportunity to tag a nice whitetail!
