Driving DirectionsFrom Warrenton, take Route M east 2.50 miles, and Schuetzenground Road south 3 miles. HighlightsThis is a predominately forested area. Facilities/features: picnic areas, firearms range, and an intermittent stream (North Fork of Charrette Creek). There are also a couple of old clay mining pits which are stocked for fishing. About This AreaLocated in central Warren County, this area includes 1,388 acres of land, over 99 percent of which is forested. Most of the non-forested land resulted from fireclay mining when the forest was privately owned.The late Miss Bertha Reifsnider of Hudson, Ohio, donated the land to the Conservation Department in 1956 in memory of family members, Frank, Emma Elizabeth and Edna Reifsnider.During your visit, you may view various forest management practices designed to improve forest health and wildlife habitat. As such, the area provides great opportunites for viewing various wildlife species.
