About This Lease
Blood Moon Farms is looking for 10 bow hunting members. First time ever offered to the public to hunt these farms. Amazing habitat. This is for serious conservation minded bow hunters only. Each interested hunter will be interviewed before being allowed to join. Clean hunting record with no violations. We have 635 acres of well managed whitetail habitat. Creek draws, food plots, thick cover and bedding, fields and corn and beans in the immediate area. Amazing habitat with mature whitetails. Membership is for 15 days during the bow season. Hunt from opening day until 3 days prior to the gun season when it’s closes. Bow hunting is back open the Tuesday after Thanksgiving until December 29th. Only 10 of the days can be hunted prior to the gun season break. Hunter can take two days here, one there, three there. They can be random days. The other 5 have to be taken after the Thanksgiving break. Hunter can take them all after the Thanksgiving break if they choose but no less than 5 days have to be taken then. Hunter chooses the days they want to hunt throughout the season. A 5 day reservation notice is required for all hunting days. Lodging in a well appointed lodge is available for $35.00 night. Incentives & Competition: Highest scoring buck of the season wins $1,500.00 -Pope & Young Gross score and not net - 160” minimum to qualify. Self video the hunt and give Blood Moon the rights to the video and get paid $1,000.00. Harvest a 200” buck and be paid $2,000.00 - Pope & Young scoring gross and not net. Self video the hunt and give Blood Moon the rights to the video and get paid $1,000.00 Harvest a 190” buck and be paid $1,500.00 - Pope & Young scoring gross and not net. Self video the hunt and give Blood Moon the rights to the video and get paid $1,000.00 Widest buck of the season wins $1,000.00 - 19” minimum to qualify. Heaviest Buck of the season and win $1,000.00 - non field dressed - 225 lbs to qualify. Heaviest doe of the season wins $500.00 (160 lbs minimum to qualify - non field dressed) Harvest two doe during the season and get paid back $500.00 4.5 year old 8 point minimum rule. The farms are located in Barton County, MO. Most of the farms are located north of Lamar, MO west 2 miles of Irwin, MO. One farm is located 2 miles south of Lamar.
