Sitting atop the entrance to an iron mine opened in the late 1800s and closed in the 1950s, this property offers incredible historical significance and prime hunting opportunities. Most of the property was selectively logged years ago, except for a large hillside, resulting in dense bedding cover and woody browse. Clear ATV trails traverse the property, and there is access from a road and a paved walking path that borders the east side. Additionally, a power line road borders the property, providing excellent opportunities for long-range shots at deer crossing into city property. One of the most unique features of this property is the fences guarding old pit falls around the mine, which funnel the deer around them, making these spots ideal for setting up blinds. The property is well-suited for producing great western UP deer, especially since all parts of the property can be accessed and hunted without disturbing the area on the way in.
