These 40 acres have so many options as a hunter! With the rolling terrain, woods that runs on an angle through the middle of the property and all the crops around…there’s nothing more that you will need as a deer hunter. This area is located in such a nice quiet area down a dirt road and the peace and quiet was very enjoyable on my walk. As I approached the forest in the middle of the property I had to walk uphill to get to the top. There were many trails and rubs as I approached the top of the hill and in many areas you could see out to the crop field. Many of these spots would set up nicely for a tree stand and you can’t go wrong with setting up on the edge of the woods depending on the wind direction. On the north side of the woods the land turns back into a crop field and there is a nice solo tree that sits on top of a hill in the field. This could be an excellent spot for a pop up and will allow you to see really far in multiple directions. As I made my way back into the woods moving west I came across more trails and rubs. At this part of the forest the terrain started to move back downhill and it was obvious the deer loved to travel along the west side of these woods. With tracks all over the place on the field edge and rubs anywhere the trails led into the forest, it was clear that this would also be a nice spot to setup near. There are so many different ways you could approach your hunt on this beautiful property!
