HighlightsThe 40 acre tract contains an un-manned fire tower used to detect wildfires during high fire danger days. The tower may be accessed at your own risk by foot from the entrance gate. The site is surrounded by private property. Please respect neighboring landowner's property rights. About This AreaThe Thomasville Tower Site is located in the Ozark Highland Section and the Current River Hills Subsection and the Pine Oak Woodland Dissected Plains Land Type Association. The area is managed with a sustainable ecological approach to multiple-use management. The site is forested but is dominated by young trees. Most of the larger trees were killed by a destructive wildfire during the 2012 drought. A salvage sale after the fire harvested the dead and dying trees.
