It didn’t take me long to realize this property has many many deer! Upon arriving I found them already hanging out on the east side of this property. The deer in this area of the state are very healthy and you often see many mature and big doe hanging out together. The bucks in Michigan’s thumb region tend to be on the larger side as well with farm fields creating endless amounts of food and less hunters in this region of the state. During my walk I lost track of the amount of trails and bedding areas I came across. This area has trails so thick that it looks like hundreds of deer are moving into this property constantly!! With a nice ditch line running north and south down the middle that continues to the west, beautiful woods that borders the east and a fence line on the north side, this property sets up perfectly for an area to hunt that brings those big healthy deer to their feeding grounds. There are 4 blinds that sit on this property currently and another that the landowner is adding for 2025, you can approach this area in any wind direction and have a great chance at that perfect shot. The landowner also has permission to shoot into the field that is on the west side of the property and when sitting in the green blind in the north east corner, this provides more opportunities to harvest that nice Michigan Whitetail. The crops in this area keep the deer coming back for more and with a possibility of baiting being allowed again in 2025 the chances of taking down a deer are only getting better. Michigan currently allows 10 doe tags per hunter and this farmer wants these deer gone! This property will provide great opportunities for hunters of any age or experience level to take down these Michigan Whitetail!!
